Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

All couples have issues

AEDP is a newer form of therapy that is attachment based. It helps heal emotional pain and trauma — not just by managing symptoms, but by truly transforming and growing from the inside out.

AEDP is called “accelerated” because it often works faster than traditional talk therapy by going straight to the core emotional experiences that keep us stuck — and helping clients feel and process those emotions safely.

Emotions are the path to freedom

AEDP sees emotions — even painful ones — as natural and important. Instead of avoiding or numbing feelings, which we do for good reason, AEDP gently helps you fully feel and process them so that you can move past them.

The therapist is a safe, supportive guide

AEDP therapists are trained to be warm, compassionate, and emotionally present. They don’t just sit back, but actively support you and help create a secure relationship where deep healing can happen.

You already have the tools to heal

AEDP believes that deep inside, everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive — but trauma or pain can block that. AEDP works to help you start to unlock those inner strengths.

Change can happen quickly

Because AEDP works directly with emotional experiences (instead of just talking about them), breakthroughs can happen faster. It’s not about rushing, but about going straight to what really matters in a gentle and skillful way. We don’t just talk, we work together to get to what’s most important.

It’s about Transformation

While AEDP helps people process difficult feelings like fear, shame, or grief, it also focuses on the positive emotions that emerge afterward — like relief, joy, empowerment, and self-love.

It's not just about pain, it's about transformation and releasing the positive, resilient parts of you.
